Rules:
Dyer Girls Fall Ball will play under the current NSA rules with the following modifications.
DGSL Fall Ball Rules
Teams:
A team consists of 10 players on the roster. Teams may be brought in to play in our league. Any team short of the 10 player roster will participate in the draft.
Travel Players:
A maximum of (3) travel players will be permitted per team. Travel players will not be permitted to pitch more than 2 combined innings per game. The maximum is not per player, but rather the total number of innings for all travel players listed on the roster. These players must be identified on the lineup cards prior to the start of the game.
Draft:
A draft or blind draft will be held prior to the season to balance all team rosters.
Schedule:
Games will be played on Friday nights, Saturdays will be double headers. Teams will be given one day per week to practice. Managers will be able to schedule additional field time based on field availability.
Teams are guaranteed to be scheduled a minimum 8 games.
Games will be played in Northgate Park. However, if we schedule games with other local towns the location may change from game to game.
Uniforms:
Teams will be supplied a uniform jersey only. Black shorts or Black softball pants should be worn.
Tournament:
There will be an end of season tournament.
