Fourth Annual College ID Day

Chicago Inter Soccer Club held their Annual College ID Day at the Bo Dome in Lockport this past weekend and had over 65 local high school girl soccer players attend. The annual event showcases the talent of the club’s finest players and also has it’s signing for the girls who have committed to continue their soccer careers and play in College.

This year’s class had 14 seniors sign their National Letter of Intent in front of their parents and their teammates. Lacey Clarida - University of Alabama, Stephanie Zurales - Valparaiso University, Rebecca Rodgers - Drake University, Lauren Bialas - University of Wisconsin Parkside, Meghan Carmody - Lewis University, Nicole Dominguez - Lewis University, Jennifer Meyer - Lewis University, Nicole Kulovitz - Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis, Nicole Auble  -University of Illinois Springfield, Brianna Bernholdt - Trinity International University, Amber Hupert - Indiana Tech University, Nicole McKevitt - Milikin University, Lindsay Spears - Benedictine University, Shelby Stone - Elmhurst College.

"This is always the proudest day of the year for our club," said Rick Lakie, Director of Player Development for Chicago Inter. “To watch these girls grow up through our club and then go on to the next level is such an accomplishment!”  After the signing, the 65 players started to warm up as the college coaches began to arrive.

By the time Sena Halilovic, Director of Coaching, had the girls warmed up and ready to play, over 20 college coaches had filled the stands to watch the girls play.“It’s a true testament of what we believe in here at CIS,” said Halilovic. “Our biggest goal is to help make all-around players and good students. This class exemplifies what we stand for. I couldn’t be more proud.”  Chicago Inter has plans to host its first outdoor Annual College ID day this July in Lockport. With over 60 teams and hundreds of college coaches invited, they expect it to be a fantastic event.
